Obedience Awards
Obedience Excellence
The Obedience Excellence qualification is awarded to a dog gaining sufficient top four placings at obedience shows.
The qualifications are:
- Pre-Beginner Excellence (P-Beg Ex)
- Beginner Excellence (Beg Ex)
- Novice Excellence (Nov Ex)
- Test A Excellence (A Ex)
- Test B Excellence (B Ex)
- Test C Excellence (C Ex)
The qualifications are used after the dog’s name.
Points towards the qualification ‘Excellent’ in any particular Class will be awarded as a result of gaining places in that Class and/or any higher class. Qualifying Points will be awarded as follows:

Obedience Warrant
An Obedience Warrant is issued to a dog that has obtained
14 points whilst ineligible to compete in Championship Class C. The
points are gained as follows:
- Two points for a First Prize in Novice Class on two occasions only.
- Two points for a First Prize in Class A on two occasions only.
- Two points for a First Prize in Class B on two occasions only.
- Two points for a First Prize in Open Class C on one occasion only.
The title "OW" is used after the name of the dog.
Obedience Champion
A dog becomes an Obedience Champion having won three Championship Class C Shows under different Judges. The title "Ob Ch" is used before the name of the dog.
